Job Title
Localisation Project Management Associate
A localisation project manager working in the Language and Translation Office (LTO) team is responsible for the translation of online and instructor-led training content, and knowledge-base content on Amadeus products across the customer segment base - Retail, Corporate, Business Travel and Online.
They will ensure the full translation, on request, of any assets using our end-to-end Translation Management System, connected to the Machine Translation ecosystem. This includes file management, file preparation and creating and managing projects in the Translation Management System for learning material, or managing automated content translations from different Content Management Systems connections. They will liaise with the initial requestor to ensure the best possible practices and workflows have been put in place before and after translation. They will also liaise with the teams of volunteer reviewers spread throughout other teams to ensure linguistic quality.
What you will be doing
- Intake and validate localisation requests (scope, assets)
- Create and manage projects in Translation Management System (memoQ)
- Prepare files for Machine Translation/Translation Management System (tags, segmentation, placeholders, terminology)
- Work with automated Content Management Systems content translations
- Automate file pre/post processing and handoffs
- Ensure linguistic quality assurance and sign-off
- Train/enable volunteer reviewers on tools and process
- Maintain and use glossaries and terminology in Machine Translation ecosystem
- Maintain localisation documentation and processes
- Maintain project dashboards and Customer Learning Services reporting
- Manage terminology and Translation Memory updates with Editor
- Coordinate with content creators for source readiness
- Maintain vendor relationships and Service Level Agreements
- Contribute to Machine Translation ecosystem improvements (Intento)
- Support continuous improvement of knowledge base processes
- Ensure accessibility and customer impact are considered
Common Amadeus Project Management accountabilities:
- Works autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, takes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.
- Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles or manager, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments.
Specific accountabilities:
- Create and execute work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the projects
- Ensure management of projects controls (risks, issues and dependencies)
- Effectively apply the Amadeus project management methodology and enforces project standards
- Ensure that the project is managed to budget, time and quality and that it delivers the benefits anticipated in the business case.
- Responsible for problem resolution and project success.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Localisation/Translation, Project Management or equivalent experience
- Some experience as Localisation Project Manager; exposure to MT environments
- With or without experience on memoQ/Translation Management Systems, automation scripts/patterns, Computer Aided Translation tools; Content Management Systems (ServiceNow, Adobe Experience Manager), SharePoint; Excel is a plus
- Strong organization, stakeholder management, risk management
- Strong English; additional languages beneficial
