Position Overview:
The Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities and locations, oversee cash management, budgeting, and compliance activities, and work closely with operations leadership to drive financial performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about building scalable processes and financial infrastructure. 

  Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting activities for 10–15 restaurant locations. 
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across multiple entities and operating locations.
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve processes. 
• Partner with Director of Finance to review yearly budgeting. 
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, insurance providers, and other financial partners.
• Review payroll-related accounting entries and support payroll compliance initiatives.
• Support new restaurant openings, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives through financial planning, systems implementation, and process development.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and financial workflows to support company growth.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support key business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Controller within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Experience overseeing financial procedures and creating processes. 
• Proficiency with Restaurant365, Microsoft suite, and strong data analysis skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
