Requirements

SUMMARY


The Assembler III is responsible for assembling electrical enclosures, control panels, and related assemblies in a variety of configurations and sub-assemblies. This role requires the ability to interpret electrical schematics, install components, and perform wiring tasks with minimal supervision. The Assembler III independently completes standard production assemblies, supports troubleshooting and rework activities as needed, and assists in training lower-level assemblers while helping uphold quality and safety standards throughout the production area.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

• Assembling electrical enclosures, control panels, and related assemblies across a range of configurations and sub-assemblies.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Install and wire electrical components including breakers, relays, contactors, pushbuttons, terminal blocks and current transformers.

• Perform quality at source (QAS) inspections for other peers as required. 

• (Peer to Peer check)

• Route and manage wiring inside enclosures.

• Verify work orders, drawings, and BOMs before assembly.

• Size wires for control and power circuits and perform proper crimping and terminations.

• Use shop equipment including drills, saws, crimping tools, and measuring tools.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform self-inspections to support first pass quality.

• Identify drawing issues, missing parts, or assembly problems.

• Assist with troubleshooting and rework when needed. 

• Support training of Assembler II employees.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace using 5S practices.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Communicate with leads, supervisors, and team members to support production.

• Demonstrate ESL core values in daily work and teamwork.

• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.



QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar environment.

• At least 2 years of experience with electrical wiring, crimping, and electrical assembly.

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, work tickets, and layout drawings.

• Knowledge of electrical components used in control panels and enclosures.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment. 

• Minimum 24 months as an Assembler II 

• Maintain a minimum performance rating of 85%

• Must pass Assembler III exam

• Consistent attendance and reliability
