Warehouse & Asset Recovery Associate – Chicago, IL
Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour | Full-Time

About the Role

Join Legacy Transportation's Chicago operations team as a Warehouse & Asset Recovery Associate! This hands-on position supports warehouse operations, equipment recovery, and recycling initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with tools, has mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

What You'll Do

• Disassemble medical equipment using hand and power tools to recover reusable components and recyclable materials.

• Sort, organize, and prepare materials for recycling, storage, or shipment.

• Inspect, clean, organize, and maintain shipping fixtures.

• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material staging activities.

• Load and unload trailers using forklifts and material handling equipment.

• Follow established safety procedures, safety protocols and equipment handling requirements.

. Operate radiation detection equipment.

Salary Description

$22.00 – $25.00 per hour 

Requirements

 

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production or recycling, or related experience preferred.

• Forklift experience and ability to be forklift certified required.

• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures.

• Basic computer and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
