Room Inspector

Description

Position Description:

The Room Inspector inspects rooms after cleaning, identifies corrections, communicates room status, and helps support quality, training, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect cleaned guest rooms and bathrooms for cleanliness, condition, supplies, and presentation.
• Verify that rooms meet hotel standards before being released for guest arrival.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, missing items, or safety concerns promptly.
• Communicate room status and priorities with housekeeping leadership and the front desk.
• Provide professional feedback and coaching to room attendants when needed.
• Assist with touch-ups, room corrections, cleaning support, or special projects as needed.
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, key-control, and guest privacy procedures.
• Help maintain consistent quality standards throughout assigned guest room areas.

Requirements

• Prior hotel housekeeping or room attendant experience required or strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of room cleanliness standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and other departments.
• Ability to provide respectful coaching and feedback.
• Ability to use room status systems, radios, mobile devices, or inspection tools as required.
• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and quality-focused.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
