ENTRY LEVEL Police Officer

The City of La Vista Nebraska is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The La Vista Police Department is a well-respected and modern full service law enforcement agency that embraces a community policing philosophy. Upon completion of the selection process an eligibility list will be certified for current and future openings. The City of La Vista offers an excellent wage and benefit package as well as professional growth opportunities. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by graduation from Police Academy (no upper age requirements), possess a valid Driver's License by hire date, U.S. citizen, no felony convictions or a dishonorable discharge from military service. Salary range $73,652 to $105,019.
All conditional offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a physical examination and drug screening. Please note that any use of marijuana/THC within the past two years or any other Illegal drug use within the last 7 years will result in automatic disqualification.
