Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Requirements and Description
· Technical expertise in Forging, Casting, and Machining
· Machining expertise (Lathe, Turning, Milling, Drilling, Tapping, Burnishing, and other special processes)
· Inspection knowledge (Faro, Trimos, Micrometer, Vernier, CMM)
· Expertise in process, tooling, fixtures, locators, and new drawing review & development
· Knowledge of fasteners and coating requirements, stamping expertise
· New product development, supplier development, and approval
· First-off approval and supplier guidance on parts inspection and measurement
· Knowledge of commodities such as ball machining, gearboxes (open/close), sheet metal, fasteners with coating requirements, TCC coating, lapping, and grinding
· Supplier CARs raising and closure
· Experience handling exotic materials (Inconel 625/718, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy C276, Monel, etc.)
· Pattern inspection, casting inspection, heat treatment process and chart review
· Expertise in casting grades (LCC, CF8M, 4A, 6A), welding and welder qualification (WPS/PQR)
· NDT knowledge (LPI, MPI, RT, UT Level II certification, RT film review)
· Casting process audits, defect identification, hydro and air test experience
· Investment casting, forging process, and audit expertise
· Mill TC and heat treatment process knowledge
· QTC stamping, mechanical, chemical, hardness, IGC, microstructure witness, UT witness
· Close-die forging expertise
· Responsible for key supplier performance (monthly basis)
· Supplier identification, development, and audits as per yearly plan
· Machine shop supplier development and quality improvement initiatives
· ISO system adherence and audit monitoring

· Strong supplier quality and development skills
· Exceptional inspection skills ensuring timely delivery to drawing requirements
· Expertise in GD&T, supply chain, and supplier quality
· Experience in raw materials and machining techniques
· Skilled communicator with strong interpersonal abilities
· Self-motivated, autonomous, and effective time management skills
· Willingness to travel across India
· Fluency in English, Tamil, and Hindi
· Experience in risk mitigation, Kaizen, and supplier performance review
· Customer coordination for delivery-related activities
· Experience in new product and supplier development
· Knowledge of valve ASTM standards and requirements
· Experience in QMS ISO auditing
· Handling raw material issues with suppliers and machine shops
· Expertise in gauges, SOPs, calibration, and procurement
· Knowledge of ISO, PED, NABL, customer complaint handling, and third-party lab witness
· Experience in PMI, surface finish testing, and lab testing coordination
Educational Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with strong academic records
· Minimum 8 years of experience in Valve, Engineering, or Oil & Gas industry.
