POSITION OVERVIEW

Job: Inside Sales Representative for Lighting and Plumbing

Company: The Jarrell Co, a Construction Resources Company

Work location and Environment: Showroom for Luxury Home Goods (Appliances, Lighting, Plumbing, and Hardware) located in Dallas, Texas.

Compensation: Hourly base, plus commission

Description

The Jarrell Company is seeking a skilled and driven, design‑savvy Inside Sales Representative to join our Dallas showroom team.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll work directly with homeowners, designers, builders, and remodelers to guide product selections, manage orders, and support projects to completion. You’ll be a key part of delivering exceptional customer experience to prestigious clients, while representing some of the most luxurious and respected brands in the industry.

If you love helping bring beautiful spaces to life for an upscale client base, have a background in design with a focus on lighting or plumbing product sales, and you thrive in the fast-paced and constantly evolving industry of luxury goods, you may be the perfect candidate for this position.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of Lighting and plumbing products
  • Extensive sales experience is a must, preferably within the industry
  • Ability to read architect plans and understand design concepts
  • Skilled or educated in interior design strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the remodel or new construction industry
  • Comfort catering to a high-end clientele, and a passion for creating beautiful spaces
  • Effective problem solving skills, with calm handling of conflicts
  • Successful Relationship‑building skills

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer consultation — Assist clients with product selection, especially for lighting, plumbing, and hardware. Utilizing architect plans, client preferences, and industry knowledge, be able to offer expert recommendations in a timely courteous manner.
  • New client Acquisition — Assist in converting showroom visitors into repeat business accounts and reaching on leads by identifying prospects and building relationships.
  • Project coordination — Support builders, designers, and homeowners, as well as the Jarrell team, throughout the project lifecycle; from quoting to order management to delivery and follow up after.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong organizational skills and effective team player
  • Ability to be detail-oriented and multi-task under specified time constraints
  • Strong verbal, digital, and written communication skills are required, Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Previous Customer Service work experience is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize new software tools
  • A collaborative mindset for working with internal and external teams

 

Additional Requirements

  • Some travel may be required
  • Routine weekend attendance may be required
