At the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and the clinical direction of the Radiologist, independently performs majority of exams with minimal supervision done within the section of radiology. Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to healthcare organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing as required. Must be flexible with work schedule.
The incumbent will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully supports the mission, vision, and values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital. The incumbent will have knowledge of health care systems, and have demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists Manager with oversight of staff in operation of imaging equipment and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). Evaluates accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance.
- Provides daily assignment of staff and monitors workload to adjust staffing and/or workload appropriately.
- Assists with hiring and oversees orientation of staff.
- Schedules staff to achieve productivity on goals and conform to established protocols and procedures.
- Oversee procedural flow of department to assure timely performance.
- Ensures hospital policies and procedures are consistently implemented and followed by employees
- Sets clear performance and behavioral expectations and objectives and holds direct reports accountable for meeting those expectations and objectives.
- Attend staff meetings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Required: 2 years’ experience
- Required: Associate degree from an Accredited Radiology Program
- Required: Possess a level of clinical expertise and competency in cross-sectional anatomy.
- Required: Must have the ability to handle critical care situations which can create a high level of stress.
- Required: Must be ARRT (R)(CT) registered
- Required: Active NM MIRTP Licensure (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program)
- Required: Current BLS (CPR)
