Product Designer

About You

You are a Product Designer passionate about transforming complex information into intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling product experiences. You thrive in data-rich environments where design plays a critical role in helping users understand information, make decisions, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

You bring strong product design expertise across dashboards, reporting tools, analytical platforms, and enterprise applications. You are comfortable working at the intersection of design, product, data, and engineering, translating business goals and user needs into impactful experiences that balance usability, functionality, and business value.

AI is an integral part of your workflow. You actively leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, iteration, and implementation. You are naturally curious about emerging technologies and continuously explore new ways to improve design quality, efficiency, and product outcomes.

You thrive in highly collaborative environments, partnering closely with Product Managers, Data Teams, Engineers, and stakeholders to shape product strategy, validate decisions through evidence, and deliver exceptional user experiences.

• This position is offered under a 6-month contractor model.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with a strong emphasis on product design and enterprise applications.
• Proven experience designing dashboards, reporting platforms, analytical tools, or other data-intensive experiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, scalable component libraries, and collaborative workflows.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles, information architecture, accessibility, and usability best practices.
• Experience translating business data and insights into meaningful design solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience participating in product discovery, user research, ideation, validation, and iterative product development.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0, or similar technologies within the design process.
• Strong curiosity and self-driven experimentation with emerging AI tools and workflows.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality execution.
• English proficiency (C1 or higher).

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end product design initiatives, from discovery and ideation through delivery and validation.
• Design intuitive, scalable, and accessible user experiences for complex, data-intensive products.
• Create dashboards, reports, analytical interfaces, and data visualizations that help users make informed decisions.
• Transform complex datasets into clear visual narratives and actionable workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Teams to translate business objectives into impactful product experiences.
• Participate actively in product discovery sessions, workshops, roadmap discussions, and planning activities.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, documentation, and implementation.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled design practices within the team.
• Validate design decisions through user feedback, analytics, experimentation, and iterative testing.
• Ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across products through design systems and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging design methodologies, data visualization trends, and advancements in AI-assisted product development.
• Support design critiques, knowledge sharing, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the design organization.

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design.
• Experience designing data-intensive products, dashboards, or analytics platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and Design Systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tools within the design workflow.
• English proficiency (C1 or higher).
