Solutions Architect

You are comfortable leading technical discovery sessions, facilitating conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and translating business requirements into architecture designs that support long-term growth and operational success. You bring a consultative mindset, balancing technical feasibility, delivery readiness, and business priorities to drive successful outcomes.

You enjoy collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, Design, and Delivery teams, ensuring a shared vision from opportunity qualification through project execution. You are a trusted advisor capable of simplifying complex technical concepts, influencing decision-making, and building confidence with clients and internal stakeholders alike.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, Partner/Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, Partner/Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. (Professional Cloud Architect Certifications are highly preferred).
• Strong background in software development for mobile, web, or cloud platforms, including deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead deep technical discovery sessions and translate business objectives into scalable, flexible technical solutions.
• Experience estimating time, effort, cost, and team sizing for new engagements and RFPs, with a strategic focus on estimation accuracy to eliminate execution rework.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to balance technical feasibility, delivery readiness, and business priorities.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and C-Level executives.
• Collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring junior architects, internal teams, and exploring emerging technologies.
• Advanced English level is required, as you will work directly with US-based clients.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Delivery teams to support new business opportunities and improve pipeline conversion.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client objectives, business challenges, technical constraints, and success criteria.
• Design scalable solution architectures that align with customer requirements and business goals.
• Translate technical and business requirements into architecture briefs, diagrams, and implementation approaches.
• Conduct solution workshops, design sprints, and architecture discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver technical presentations, solution proposals, and feasibility assessments to technical and executive audiences.
• Support effort estimation, team sizing, delivery planning, and proposal development activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and execution-ready.
• Support project teams during sales-to-delivery transitions by providing architectural guidance and implementation context.
• Assist delivery teams with architecture-related questions and solution validation throughout project execution.
• Advocate for engineering best practices, modern architectures, and emerging technologies.
• Mentor technical teams and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in deal reviews, architecture governance activities, and strategic planning discussions.
• Contribute to improving solution architecture practices, estimation accuracy, and client engagement processes.

• 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar role.
• Experience leading technical discovery workshops and solution design sessions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with solution scoping, effort estimation, and pre-sales activities.
• Advanced English proficiency.
