Position Overview:
The Lead role is an hourly management position, serving as the direct report for all licensed estheticians at the location, with a maximum requirement of five hours weekly. Weeks that require additional hours (i.e., advanced training, etc.) may be granted the additional payroll hours, with prior approval. The Lead is the ultimate responsibility for the team, serving as the leader in motivation, coaching, education, and operations. The Lead directly reports to the Spa Manager and Education Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be the go-to person for your location, ensuring a seamless experience for both therapists and guests by monitoring and evaluating their performance while offering constructive feedback and ongoing support.
Play a key role in building a top-notch team, from assisting in the practical interview process to welcoming and onboarding new hires with a focus on excellence.
Be a master of coordination—available throughout new hire test-outs to offer guidance, keep everything running smoothly, distribute and collect feedback forms.
Welcome and set up new hires by promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism among the skincare team.
Attend monthly meetings with the Spa Manager to discuss team goals, performance, and coaching needs, always aiming for continuous improvement.
In this role, you will coach and support our estheticians on performance metrics by giving regular feedback to help them improve and succeed while maintaining a positive and professional environment.
Keep our space fresh and organized by overseeing inventory and product ordering, as well as conducting regular room checks, maintaining state-required logs for compliance, and ensuring our skincare dispensary is stocked and pristine at all times.
Collaborate with the Educator Manager to audit skincare and body treatments, while staying ahead of industry trends, helping the team stay at the top of their game.
Drive continuous improvement with regular training sessions focused on advanced techniques, enhancing guest experience, and deepening product knowledge, empowering the team to maintain peak performance and expertise.
Qualifications:
Licensed Esthetician with 1 year of experience in a spa or salon setting, and/or 6 months with Hiatus consistently performing at a Level 3 or higher.
Strong knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and techniques, with advanced training in Hydrafacial, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, and medical-grade peels.
Proficient in using Zenoti for training, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring team members.
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
