PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
- Flexibility to work and train on multiple shifts.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Provide technical assistance to the maintenance team with electrical hardware and software to maintain and keep the plant in operation when breakdowns occur
- Investigate, diagnose, and repair equipment electrical/control system failures and report to the Engineering Group for root cause analysis
- Maintain and modify as needed PLC and control programming
- Support the Engineering Group in the design and development of equipment control modifications
- Perform and document electrical-related PMs (Planned Maintenance) on process and facilities equipment as assigned
- Support the Engineering Group in the design and development of capital projects
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Industrial Automation Degree, Engineering Technology Degree, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Knowledge of standard testing techniques and practices for general purposes and specialized test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, current clamps, programmers, etc.)
- Working knowledge of computer and PLC hardware (design, programming, start-up)
- PLC Programming experience, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Fanuc controls, preferred
- Basic knowledge of motion controls and devices (I/O processors, digital/analog modules, servo motors, high-speed counters, steppers, and resolvers/encoders, etc.)
- Knowledge of low-power distribution systems
- Electrical design/drafting with ability to clearly and accurately annotate electrical documents, prints, software programs, industrial sensors (non-contact sensors, thermocouples, RTDs, level sensors, flow sensors, safety interlocks)
- CNC or Aluminum Extrusion experience preferred
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to do work requires standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead, and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job.
- Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 100 pounds in a team lift.
- Able to work up to 12-hour shifts primarily standing.
