AllCare Homecare LLC has a mission of “Making Life Capable” by providing experienced and compassionate caregivers, to enable our loved ones to live life to its fullest in the privacy of their own home. AllCare Homecare is a newly licensed and bonded Private Care Agency located in Jonesboro, Arkansas servicing 13 counties in Northeast Arkansas by providing in- home non-medical care to qualifying recipients. We are locally owned and operated, and although AllCare only recently opened its doors, our dedicated staff is no stranger to the needs of our growing population of elderly and/or disabled. Combined, we have over 30 years of Nursing experience, not to mention over 13 years experience in the Durable Medical Equipment business. Our DME experience will allow us to better serve our clients by providing necessary equipment and/or supplies needed to aid the client in maintaining as much dignity and independence as possible. We whole-heartedly believe God led us on this mission to take our combined experience and use it for the greater good of the community by offering family-oriented care in our area.
About the Role

Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a patient, dependable, and supportive Independent Living Services (ILS) Instructor to provide afternoon services for an individual with Autism and a Psychiatric Disorder. This role focuses on building independence, improving daily living skills, and increasing meaningful participation in the community. The ideal candidate is encouraging, adaptable, and comfortable providing structured support, reminders, and hands-on guidance when needed.

Primary Goals of Support

  • Improve personal care and hygiene routines
  • Support home management and household organization
  • Develop financial literacy and basic budgeting skills
  • Encourage community engagement and participation in activities

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care

  • Support daily personal hygiene routines and self-care tasks
  • Provide reminders, encouragement, and positive reinforcement
  • Promote independence while offering assistance as needed

Home Management

  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized living space
  • Help establish and follow simple home management routines
  • Break tasks into manageable steps to improve consistency

Financial Literacy

  • Support basic budgeting, money management, and tracking expenses
  • Assist with understanding financial concepts using clear, step-by-step instruction
  • Adapt teaching methods as needed, including paper-based tools if digital platforms are challenging

Community Engagement

  • Encourage participation in community activities, events, or appointments
  • Assist with planning outings and accessing community resources
  • Provide support with scheduling and transportation coordination as appropriate

Identified Challenges to Address

Consistency & Motivation

  • Danielle may struggle with maintaining motivation and consistency, particularly with personal care and home management
  • Staff may need to provide frequent encouragement, reminders, and reinforcement

Limited Staff Availability

  • Staffing shortages may impact consistency of services, requiring flexibility and clear communication

Transportation & Distance Challenges

  • Distance from community resources may limit access to activities or appointments
  • Reliance on public transportation or staff for rides may create scheduling challenges

Financial Literacy Learning Curve

  • Budgeting and financial management skills may require extended learning time
  • Staff may need to provide extra hands-on support and simplified instruction

Environmental Factors

  • A less structured living environment may impact follow-through with hygiene and home routines

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Experience supporting individuals with autism and/or psychiatric disorders preferred
  • Patient, reliable, and supportive communication style
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide structure, encouragement, and hands-on assistance
  • Two forms of valid identification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Live Scan fingerprint clearance
  • Current TB test clearance
