Position Summary: The Corporate Partnerships Manager is a revenue-critical role responsible for building and managing a pipeline of $10,000+ annual corporate sponsorships. The role identifies, cultivates, and secures partnerships with companies seeking to align their brand with meaningful community impact. Through strategic outreach, disciplined follow-through, and consultative sales, corporate interest is converted into long-term philanthropic investment that advances the mission.
This position is designed for a results-oriented relationship builder who thrives in ownership, proactive engagement, and turning opportunity into impact.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


1. Corporate Sponsorship Development

  • Own and execute a structured strategy to identify, qualify, and secure new corporate sponsorships of $10,000+ annually.
  • Build and maintain a sponsorship pipeline at least 3x monthly revenue goals.
  • Conduct proactive prospecting through multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, meetings).
  • Lead sponsorship conversations from initial outreach through close, renewal, and expansion.

2. Relationship-Based Engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with corporate decision-makers through consistent, value-based engagement.
  • Conduct sponsorship meetings that align business objectives with community impact and brand visibility.
  • Re-engage stalled prospects through structured, thoughtful follow-up.

3. Portfolio Ownership & Account Management

  • Independently manage a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, including renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Proactively schedule renewal discussions and sponsorship planning meetings.
  • Maintain ownership of timelines, next steps, and partner communications.

4. Sponsorship Management:

  • Secure sponsorships for key events while ensuring partners receive exceptional experiences and clear impact visibility.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop sponsorship materials aligned with organizational branding and messaging.

5. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and report on partnership progress, providing regular updates to the Director of Strategic Gifts.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of partner activities, interactions, and opportunities in Salesforce.

6. Stewardship & Recognition:

  • Share impact reports and year-end reports with corporate partners to showcase the value of their support.
  • Regularly gather feedback and ensure continuous improvement in partner engagement.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, to develop collateral and communication materials that support corporate partnerships.

8. Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Participate in team meetings and organization-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality in compliance with United Food Bank policies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Passion for alleviating hunger and aligned with our mission and values
  • Bachelor’s degree in business development or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3+ years of B2B sales, corporate sponsorships, or business development experience
  • Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and closing complex deals; Understands and applies structured sales cadence and pipeline management
  • Experience working toward revenue goals or quotas; Ability to prioritize efforts strategically to focus on the highest-impact revenue activities
  • High level of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail; Ability to take responsibility for outcomes, follow-through, and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM required
  • Self-motivated, dedicated to accomplishing tasks, able to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Availability and willingness to attend evening or weekend events when needed
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurability required.
