Physical Therapy Assistant- Full time

Position Summary:
Responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist.
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience: Advanced degree from accredited program, completion of all state and national requirements for licensure/certification. VT License, registration with national office, CPR.
Other Requirements: Ability to work independently, pay attention to details, multitask, and follow set procedures.
Requirements
Essential Functions Of The Position:
- Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist, after the physical therapist has completed evaluation of patient.
- Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability
- Notify physical therapist of patient status changes, progression of program as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, visitors
- Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.
- Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and emergency preparedness programs.
