Snoqualmie Casino, offers 165,000 square feet of gaming space with 1,700 slot machines, 50 table games and 5 poker tables. Guests can dine in 6 restaurants – a 400 seat buffet, an Asian Bistro, a 24 hour cafe, a coffee shop, deli and a 100 seat fine dining restaurant.The casino also features 3 cocktail lounges, as well as a 1,000 seat events center, which house special events including; concerts, boxing and charity events. Other amenities include a cigar lounge and a retail shop.
About the Role

Description

Pay Rate: $25.56/hr. minimum. Dependent on experience.

Shift: Day - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Wednesday/Thursday off.

Type: Full-time, non-exempt

PURPOSE

Daily completion of Slots, Table Games, Sportsbook, Cage, Food and Beverage, Retail, Entertainment and Marketing Audits. Reconcile assigned revenue/cost center paperwork to ensure that department policies, internal controls, NIGC regulations, State Compact and IRS regulations are followed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit and reconcile revenue or cost reported in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ensure that adequate and accurate supporting documentation exists for all transactions and investigations.
  • Learn all procedures, regulations and computer processes pertaining to the various audits as assigned.
  • Prepare and record accurate journal entries in relation to the respective audit areas.
  • Communicate any and all problems to the Casino Audit Manager or Director of Finance regarding internal control, regulation and audited department policy issues.
  • Communicate with operating departments as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Two (2) year Accounting degree or three (3) years of work experience in accounting, finance or auditing; or a combination of accounting education and accounting, finance or auditing work experience that totals three (3) years.
  • Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to formulas, tabs, VLOOKUP, spreadsheet creation and formatting, and data import/export.
  • Ability to maintain organization, and possess integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume work environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to complete any Food & Beverage, Retail, W2G, Jackpot, Table Games, Sportsbook, Cage, Slot, or Marketing Audit within given time standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret reports and documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to comprehend Federal and State regulations.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass Entry Level Accounting and 10 Key Calculator Tests.


PREFERRED

Skills and Abilities:

  • Casino Audit or Accounting experience.

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
