MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Monday – Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
*Must be flexible to work some hours on Saturdays/Sundays*
(Paid sick time and vacation benefits plus a supplemental insurance package)
SUMMARY
Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Cuts grass and trims weeds on the organization's property.
- Cleans internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Empties trash cans.
- Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Repair parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Repairs or replaces buildings with brick, stone, and concrete.
- Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses and belts in machines and equipment, such as trucks and riding mowers.
- Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Sets up rooms for banquets and cleans rooms after banquets.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must show MVR with “0” points and present at the time of hire.
- Must be flexible to work some Saturdays and Sundays for our banquets.
- This position requires the use of a personal cell phone to be utilized during work hours (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm). A monthly stipend is provided.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR one year certificate from college or technical school; OR three to six months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Driver’s License with NO POINTS

- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be ok with using ladders and working off platforms and roofs.
