We are looking for a People & Culture Generalist to join our Chiva plant on a temporary contract of approximately 4 months, to provide support to the People & Culture area during a period of leave related to birth and childcare, including a prior onboarding and handover period.

The position will be part of the People & Culture EMEA team, with a direct reporting line to the corporate team in Denmark, and will work closely with international teams and the local plant organization.

This is an opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in generalist Human Resources functions, able to work with autonomy in the day-to-day management of the area and motivated to grow in an industrial, international and multicultural environment.

As part of the team, you will support employees and managers in matters related to HR administration, time and attendance, payroll support, onboarding, internal communication, culture initiatives and regional or global People & Culture processes.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide support in the day-to-day People & Culture operations at the Chiva plant, responding to employee and manager queries on HR-related matters.
  • Support the local coordination of the area, in connection with the People & Culture EMEA team and the corporate team in Denmark.
  • Act as a local point of support, helping to facilitate communication between the plant and regional or global processes.
  • Collaborate in the local implementation of corporate People & Culture policies, processes and initiatives.
  • Manage and update employment documentation, contracts, addendums, certificates, internal records, employee files and other administrative HR processes.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, contributing to a clear, organized and positive experience from day one.
  • Follow up on time and attendance management, including clock-ins, absences, shifts, leaves, holidays and time-related incidents.
  • Provide support in the payroll process, preparing and reviewing variables, absences, incidents and other relevant information required for accurate payroll management.
  • Coordinate information with internal teams or external providers involved in payroll management.
  • Keep HR systems, databases, reports and internal documentation up to date.
  • Participate in culture, internal communication, engagement and team integration initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with Oterra’s values.
  • Support global processes such as performance review, corporate policy follow-up, reporting and coordination of actions with regional teams.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment processes that may arise across different departments, working closely with hiring managers and the internal recruitment team.
  • Support the coordination of training activities, attendance records, employee communications and follow-up of learning actions.
  • Contribute to compliance with labor regulations, the applicable collective bargaining agreement, internal procedures and corporate standards.
  • Provide support in audits, reporting and administrative requests related to People & Culture processes when needed.

Requisitos

Required profile

  • Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Law or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience in generalist Human Resources roles, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, logistics or multinational environments.
  • Experience in HR administration and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience or familiarity with time and attendance management, including clock-ins, absences, shifts, holidays and time-related incidents.
  • Experience supporting or participating in the payroll process, including payroll variables, absences, incidents or coordination with payroll providers.
  • Knowledge of Spanish labor regulations, employment documentation and HR administrative procedures.
  • Interest in participating in global People & Culture processes, culture initiatives, internal communication and performance review.
  • High level of English: C1, required for coordination with international teams and participation in People & Culture EMEA dynamics.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with HR systems, payroll tools, time and attendance platforms or ERP systems will be valued.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and discreet, with special sensitivity when handling confidential information.
  • Service-oriented mindset, strong communication skills and willingness to work closely with people and the reality of the plant.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, flexibility and motivation to keep growing in an international and multicultural environment.
