About The Company
UGL Regional Linx was established in 2021, after parent company, UGL Limited was selected to deliver operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN). This network ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, and links Sydney with many important regional centres. UGL Regional Linx commenced operations on January 30 2022 and works on behalf of the client, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and will be responsible for managing an important network of assets. As part of its operation, UGL Regional Linx’s scope of work includes: • Network operations • Rail infrastructure maintenance and implementation of a new train control system - UGL’s proprietary system, Sigview. • Asset and property management, and • Safety, access, performance, and environmental management. UGL Regional Linx has made a strong commitment to local and indigenous employment, further strengthening the organisation’s commitment to regional NSW. As part of its operations, UGL Regional Linx established its head office and Network Control Centre in the heart of the Central West, Orange, NSW. The CRN network includes: • 2,386 route kilometres of operational passenger and freight rail lines, including 996 km of branch line track used predominantly for haulage of grain, with lower mass and speed limits than other parts of the network • 3,139 route kilometres of non-operational lines • 27,000 hectares of land and infrastructure • 1,312 level crossings (300 active) • 1,200 property assets (including 356 heritage sites) • 600 rail under bridges and 384 road overbridges The CRN is a crucial piece of infrastructure to regional NSW and UGL Regional Linx is committed to ensure that it delivers for all customers, from rail passengers to farmers and industry.

BIM Manager - Drive Digital Delivery on Major Rail Projects

UGL is home to one of Australia’s largest in-house engineering teams, delivering complex transport and infrastructure projects nationwide. As part of the CIMIC Group, we bring long term stability, technical depth and genuine career pathways.

This full time permanent opportunity will be based out of Brisbane’s CBD with your first assignment to support a major greenfield rail project in South East Queensland. This next stage of work involves delivering new dual-track rail, tunnels, stations and stabling infrastructure, a largescale expansion that will help shape the region’s long-term transport network.

About the role

As BIM Manager, you’ll lead digital engineering across the project, ensuring models, data and workflows are aligned and fit for purpose. You’ll set up and manage BIM processes, coordinate models across disciplines, and drive quality, consistency and clash-free delivery, supporting both design and construction from day one.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead BIM and digital engineering delivery across the project.

  • Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans and digital standards.

  • Coordinate multi-discipline models, ensuring integration and clash resolution.

  • Oversee 3D modelling outputs, data consistency and quality assurance.

  • Work with engineers and project teams to align digital deliverables with project requirements and support continuous improvement in BIM capability.

About you

  • Experience in a BIM Manager or senior digital engineering role on major rail projects.

  • Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards (eg ISO19650) and digital delivery.

  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline models in complex environments.

  • Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto.

  • Confidence working with stakeholders across engineering, design and delivery teams.
