Documentation Specialist

The Documentation Specialist collaborates with Radia departments, Imaging Centers and physicians and Zotec Partners (billing company), to provide high-quality administrative support with an emphasis on processes, structure, and coordination of departmental project goals. The Specialist manages requests for information related to documentation and coding across the organization and provides coding feedback to Radia providers to ensure high quality documentation that supports accurate level of service in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations and guidelines as they pertain to CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM and clinical documentation requirements.
Compensation:
Hourly salary range $22.91/hour to $32.99/hour. Salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.

This position will be full-time in person in our Lynnwood, WA office for the first 6 months with the potential for remote work following that period.
Responsibilities
- Accuracy: Prepares and carefully reviews documentation, reports, etc. to ensure consistency and clarity so information can be easily understood by all reviewers.
- Addendum Tracking: Produces and disseminates coding feedback and supporting documentation to providers within defined turnaround times.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates careful attention to detail and understands the implications of small details in projects or decisions. Appropriately tracks and follows up on work assignments to ensure timely completion.
- Coding feedback: Acquires necessary documentation and information from the medical records to address coding feedback related to radiology exams and procedures. Identifies and communicates coding related issues. .
- Communication: Fosters a positive and accepting environment that supports effective communication and collaboration with partners and providers. Quickly responds to requests, ideas, and suggestions in a non-defensive manner, taking appropriate action that facilitates cooperation and trust.
- Composure: Cool under pressure; does not become irritable when times are tough.

Education and Experience
- Healthcare and customer service experience preferred
- AA degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Minimum one year work experience using complex computerized applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
