Job Description

Working as part of a dynamic, Tier 1 consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of large multidisciplinary projects within the Mining, Industrial and Transport sectors.

Supported by experienced engineers, industry experts, and a global network of technical specialists, you will develop your technical, professional, and project delivery skills while gaining exposure to all project phases, from feasibility studies and concept design through to detailed engineering and project execution.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Support the delivery of electrical engineering projects across the mining, industrial, and heavy industry sectors, contributing to high-quality design solutions from concept through to commissioning.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings, and other project documentation under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineers, to coordinate project deliverables and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Apply engineering principles, relevant standards, and industry best practices to develop safe, practical, and sustainable solutions.
  • Assist with site visits, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
  • Contribute to project planning and coordination activities, supporting the delivery of work to agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Attributes: We’re seeking graduates with strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive and adaptable mindset, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A genuine interest in living and working in Townsville and building a long-term career in North Queensland.
  • Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
  • Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2027. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2027.
  • Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
