Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary

The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees by answering questions related to payroll, company policies, benefits, onboarding, and general HR matters while helping employees navigate issues and concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and experience using ADP systems. Recruiting is a critical function of this role, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable managing the full-cycle hiring process in a growing organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, scheduling, and onboarding of new hires
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies for technicians and mechanics.
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR procedures
- Support employees with benefit enrollment, qualifying life event changes, and benefit-related questions or concerns
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
- Maintain and update job descriptions and recruitment advertisements
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within ADP and other HR systems
- Assist with payroll-related changes and employee data updates in ADP
- Support employee relations matters and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Assist with employee communications, and HR initiatives
- Perform additional HR administrative duties as assigned
- Utilize strong interpersonal and customer service skills to build positive employee relationships across all levels of the organization
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience required
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee support required
- Experience supporting operations, manufacturing, transportation, industrial, or service-based environments preferred
