Job Summary
The Vice President, Senior Client Advisor, Private Banking at UOB Hong Kong is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. This role involves providing comprehensive financial solutions, building strong client relationships, and ensuring excellent service delivery in line with the bank's private banking strategy.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies to acquire new HNW and UHNW clients and expand existing relationships.
* Conduct in-depth financial needs analysis for clients, identifying their investment objectives, risk tolerance, and liquidity requirements.
* Propose and deliver tailored financial solutions, including investment products (e.g., equities, fixed income, structured products, alternative investments), wealth planning, trust services, and lending solutions.
* Monitor client portfolios regularly, review performance against objectives, and recommend necessary adjustments to align with market conditions and client needs.
* Maintain a deep understanding of global financial markets, economic trends, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
* Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and other applicable jurisdictions.
* Collaborate effectively with product specialists, investment advisors, legal, and compliance teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
* Actively participate in client events, seminars, and networking activities to represent UOB Hong Kong and generate new business opportunities.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive and high-performing team environment.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in private banking or wealth management, with a proven track record of managing and growing HNW/UHNW client portfolios.
* Extensive knowledge of a wide range of investment products, financial markets, and wealth planning strategies.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the Hong Kong banking sector.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with sophisticated clients.
* Demonstrated ability to acquire new clients and generate revenue.
* Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (both spoken and written) is essential to effectively serve a diverse client base.
* Possession of relevant licenses and registrations (e.g., SFC Type 1, 4, 9) as required for regulated activities in Hong Kong.
* HKMA Type 1 and 4 licensed.
* Holder of ECF on Private Wealth Management (PWM) accredited by Private Wealth Management Association
