Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. 

Responsibilities

Volunteering with RIVER Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. 

At  RIVER you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. 

Responsibilities

  • As a Ketamin Recovery Support Volunteer you will be working in close collaboration with Recovery Coordinators, assisting them in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey. This can include completing assessments, risk management plans and undertaking one to one work. You will also be supporting with Ketamine awareness in the community and to professionals. 
  • Support the Recovery Coordinator to carry out comprehensive assessments, triage, risk assessments, risk management plans and to contribute to the development of individual community recovery plans  
  • Provide harm reduction advice and recovery planning. 
  • Support those who use our services to achieve their care plan goals 
  • Support and empower service users to engage in recovery activities both within Change Grow Live and the wider community 
  • Support with Ketamine awareness sessions in the community, to professionals, and at public events. These Ketamine awareness sessions will be delivered in the community at public settings and will be to different audience groups as well as to other professionals alongside CGL staff. You will have the flexibility to work in community settings as well as in the office. 
  • Document sessions on case management systems 

 

Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

 

As part of your journey with us attending our training sessions is essential to support you in your role. Our mandatory sessions will equip you with what you need to thrive in your volunteer role. 

 

Mandatory: Volunteer induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Required: Drug awareness training

Required: Harm reduction training

Required: Alcohol awareness training
