Summary
- As Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and deliver excellent customer service through our GOLDEN Service philosophy. You will be leading a team of professionals, ensuring that they provide the best possible experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning to meet the daily needs of the organization.
- Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
- Responsible for department budget and overhead.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness.
- Assists his/or her management team in meeting high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits.
- Participates in weekly executive leadership meetings, conducts weekly, semi-monthly or monthly staff meetings based on departmental need.
- Leads BEO meetings with Managers and Culinary leadership.
- Responsible for creation, implementation and accountability of department policies and procedures.
- Assists with training, interviewing, counseling, scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Develops and implements strategies to improve the overall quality of service.
- Manages the budget for the department and ensuring that costs remain in line.
- Maintains a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the department.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises staff to ensure the highest level of service possible.
- Assists with innovative menu development that appeals to our clientele.
- Ensures that all food and beverage items are prepared to the highest quality standards.
- Manages inventory levels, orders supplies, and ensures that all equipment is well-maintained.
- Ensures that all health and safety regulations are followed in the food and beverage department.
Requirements
Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification as a pre-requisite to being extended a job offer.
- Must be able and willing to get ServSafe Manager certified within 30 days of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Director of Food & Beverage position.
- Casino experience is highly preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Strong English communication skills required to interact with guests, team members, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks and provide effective feedback.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including budget, inventory management, menu planning, and cost control.
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene in the F&B front and back of house areas.
