Digital Consultants seeks a Systems Administrator IV to support the United States Army West Desert Test Center (WDTC) Data Science Division (DSD) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah. Systems Administrator IV serves as a senior technical resource responsible for administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and Information Systems (IS) supporting WDTC operations. This position supports server, storage, virtualization, directory services, authentication services, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise computing environments while ensuring availability, reliability, and security of Government systems.


Duties to include:

  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise server infrastructure.
  • Support Active Directory, authentication services, and enterprise account management activities.
  • Support virtualization technologies and virtual server environments.
  • Support enterprise storage systems and backup/recovery operations.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of systems, hardware, and software.
  • Support network-connected infrastructure and enterprise computing environments.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity requirements, security configurations, and applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and system compliance requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues and outages.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refresh activities.
  • Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, help desk, telecommunications, and application support personnel to maintain operational readiness.
  • Support continuity of operations, disaster recovery, and restoration activities as required.
  • Provide technical support for Government testing, operational, and mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret minimum, but must be able to complete a T5 Background Investigation. 
  • Certifications: 
    • IAT II, One Baseline cert Microsoft (GSEC, Security + CE, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, CND, GCIH, GCED, CASP + CE) 
    • One Computing Environment Cert (MCITP, MCS, MCSE, MCSTS or VMware (VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX) or Red Hat (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA) or EMC Specialist level or Higher.
  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: Must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years working as a Systems Administrator. 
    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently
    • Must be proficient in the use of computers, operating systems, and software required to perform assigned duties.
    • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology environments
    • Experience supporting Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
    • Experience supporting virtualization technologies and enterprise storage environments.
    • Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance, RMF, and STIG implementation activities.
    • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure operations in secure environments.
    • Experience supporting Army installations, test ranges, laboratories, or mission support organizations.
    • Experience supporting NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments.
    • Experience supporting enterprise backup and disaster recovery operations.
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
