Digital Consultants seeks a Systems Administrator III to support the United States Army West Desert Test Center (WDTC) Data Science Division (DSD) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah. The Systems Administrator III supports the administration, maintenance, security, and operation of enterprise Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) supporting WDTC operations. This position supports server infrastructure, operating systems, directory services, virtualization environments, storage systems, cybersecurity compliance, and operational readiness to ensure secure and reliable computing services in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and local requirements.
Location: Dugway, UT
Duties to include:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise server and operating system environments.
- Support directory and authentication services.
- Support storage and virtualization services
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health.
- Support implementation of cybersecurity requirements and security controls.
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security configurations.
- Support user account administration, access management, and system permissions.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation, patch management, and system updates.
- Support backup, recovery, continuity of operations, and disaster recovery activities.
- Maintain system documentation, inventories, technical records, and operational procedures.
- Support configuration management and change management activities.
- Coordinate with network specialists, cybersecurity personnel, application developers, and Government stakeholders to support mission requirements.
- Provide technical support for WDTC testing, operational, and mission requirements.
Requirements
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Must possess a Tier 3 (T3/T3R) or higher investigation. Personnel assigned duties involving the administration of classified systems/networks or designated critical-sensitive or special-sensitive positions must meet applicable Tier 5 (T5/T5R) investigation and SCI eligibility requirements.
- Certifications:
- IAT II, One baseline cert: GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, CND, GCIH, GCED, or CASP CE
- One CE/relevant cert: RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, Microsoft Server-track MCITP/MCSA/MCSE/MCTS, VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX, or EMC Specialist+
- Education: HS Diploma
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting enterprise server administration, systems administration, or Information Technology operations.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, directory services, storage, virtualization, or enterprise operating system environments.
- Experience supporting system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support activities.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance, STIG implementation, patch management, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology environments preferred.
- Experience supporting classified information systems, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet environments preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
- Proficiency in the use of computers, operating systems, and software required to perform assigned duties.
- Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
