Are you a seasoned Medicaid expert with a passion for leadership and client advocacy? We are seeking a Senior Medicaid Benefits Specialist to champion our public benefit functions. In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert and team lead, guiding our clients through complex processes to ensure uninterrupted coverage while driving operational excellence across our clinical and administrative teams.

What You Will Do
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise daily operations of the benefits team, providing real-time guidance, onboarding, and training for new Specialists.
- Expert Case Management: Serve as the go-to resource for complex Medicaid cases, modeling best practices in client engagement and follow-through.
- Optimize Workflows: Build and refine organizational systems to streamline documentation, tracking, and communication across departments.
- Drive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve trends in application denials, delays, or documentation errors.
- Report & Collaborate: Partner closely with clinical, administrative, and DHHS personnel to ensure strict compliance. Communicate Medicaid metrics and data reporting to leadership.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Deep understanding of Medicaid, DHHS processes, and complex public benefit regulations.
- Proven experience in leadership, supervisory, or senior subject matter expert role.
- Strong critical thinking, data reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to build streamlined, organized tracking systems for client coverage.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Five (5+) Years or more experience working with Medicaid program/insurance
- An equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and professional experience will be considered
- Experience working with State, Federal or local welfare, disability, or other entitlement programs is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance with minimum coverage of 100,00/300,00 are essential.
