Description
Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a Cook to work in our busy dietary department.
SHIFT & HOURS: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period); 5:30am to 2pm and 10am to 6:30pm shifts, may include weekends/holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare, cook and serve daily meals as written. Works with dietary manager to plan cooking schedule. Observes modified diet textures and cafe meals. Serves main dish entrees on the tray line. Other duties as needed.
This is a benefit-eligible position including PTO, health, dental, vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, employer-paid short-term disability, and up to a 3% match in our 401k retirement plan.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cooking experience preferred.
- Teamwork.
- Ability to read and understand recipes, written instructions, and labels.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand on feet for several hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to stand room temperatures up to at least 90 degrees.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
