About the Role

Your mission

General Functions:

Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and tracking shipments, negotiating with freight carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Resolve delivery -related customer service issues and ensure that logistics processes comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizing all Inbound and outbound shipments in line with company requirements.
  • Working closely with freight service provider to keep the shipment schedule updated along with Customer expectations and operational needs.
  • Processing and provision of all shipping documentation on time for all Air and Sea shipments globally.
  • Preparing and maintaining delivery schedules and communicating to all relevant departments.
  • Maintenance of systems data requirements and always ensuring integrity.
  • Maintenance of Logistics records.
  • Verification of all freight invoices vs. agreed rates.
  • Interfacing with the clients and sales to reduce or eliminate non-conformance for cargo outbound deliveries.
  • Addressing customer service issues from a Logistics compliance perspective.
  • Tracking and reporting on both inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Meet with prospective carriers to see if cost reduction opportunities exist
  • Liaising Philippines Regulatory Import, Export and Domestic Shipping requirements related to PEZA/CUSTOMS including company’s wastages disposal.
  • Secured cost-effective Freight quotations prior to ship.
Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to Logistics Team Lead. Works in conjunction with Purchasing, Planning, Packing, Sales, and any department that has effect with the shipment’s execution.
