About the Role

Flinders Private Hospital - Allied Health Assistant 

  • Maternity leave fixed term position (July 2026-July 2027)

  • 15 hours per week (Wednesday – Friday, 5 hours per shift)

  • Acute inpatient area

  • Training and professional development opportunities provided

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our dynamic and supportive allied health team. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, have a friendly and positive work attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to assisting patients achieve their goals.

About the role:

  • Implementing prescribed physiotherapy programs to acute inpatients

  • Motivating and assisting patients to improve their function and mobility

  • Supporting the allied health team with administrative tasks

  • Delivering excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors

About you:

  • Experience working within health care (desirable)

  • Certificate 3 or certificate 4 in Allied health Assistance (desirable)

  • Good time management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to follow directions accurately and work responsibly with or without supervision.

  • Ability to recognize own limitations and seek guidance from physiotherapy staff appropriately.

  • Initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm in assisting therapists with the implementation of client treatment and activity protocols.
