About the Opportunity:
We’re currently seeking an experienced Building Services Assistant to join our team on a casual basis at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane (Kangaroo Point).
Our ideal candidate will be solutions-focused with prior experience dealing with a wide range of diverse maintenance tasks. You will bring your passion to the position where you will work with an enthusiastic team to support our ongoing hospital day to day functions.
A snapshot of your duties could include:
Assisting electricians and plumbers as required
Day to day preventative maintenance work around the hospital.
Liaise with external contractor to organise in-house breakdown jobs.
Attending to general maintenance work around the hospital as required

About you:
As a valued member of our team, you will:
Have a good understanding of hospital environment and protocol
Ability to use a range of mechanical equipment.
Experience in a similar role
Demonstrated ability to work safely
A positive approach to working collaboratively - be a team player
Good problem-solving skills
Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment faults identifications.
Good knowledge of assessing non-medical equipment.
Excellent planning and time management skills
