About the Role

Position Title: Junior Production Supervisor
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Reporting To: Production Manager
Location: Thermal Manufacturing Line / Bay C (PDX, PCW, CRV, EFC, SCU)

Position Summary

The Junior Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily production activities on Thermal product assembly lines, ensuring achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP) targets. The role involves manpower management, production monitoring, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities Production Management

  • Support execution of daily production plans to meet customer demand and schedule adherence.
  • Monitor line performance and ensure achievement of production targets.
  • Coordinate manpower allocation and balance workloads across production stations.
  • Escalate production issues impacting output, quality, or delivery commitments.
  • Support smooth startup and shutdown activities of production lines.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and safe work practices.
  • Conduct daily safety observations and promote a zero-accident culture.
  • Ensure operators use required PPE and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implementation of corrective actions.

Quality Management

  • Ensure adherence to work instructions, quality standards, and process controls.
  • Support containment and resolution of quality issues on the production floor.
  • Drive defect reduction and first-pass yield improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

People Management

  • Lead and support a team of operators and technicians.
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and workforce utilization.
  • Facilitate operator training, skill development, and cross-training activities.
  • Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings and communicate production priorities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean Manufacturing/VOS, 5S, Kaizen, and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and eliminate waste within production processes.
  • Participate in line balancing and process optimization activities.
  • Support implementation of cost-saving projects.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily production records and performance reports.
  • Track KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Absenteeism.
  • Support preparation of production performance presentations and reviews.

Required Qualifications Education

  • Diploma / Engineering / B-TECH

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
  • Experience in HVAC, Thermal, Electrical Panel, or Industrial Equipment manufacturing preferred.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of HVAC/Thermal products.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and production flow.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
  • Good communication and team coordination skills.
