About the Role:
The Medical Technician/ Wellness Center Assistant is responsible for the effective delivery and coordination of Wellness Center responsibilities. Our Wellness Team conveys care, concern and hospitality to all students, campers, guests and staff to whom they are providing service.
- The Medical Technician position is PART-TIME with a pay range of $16-$18.00 per hour depending on experience
- Schedule will be Monday- Thursday, 4:00pm- 10:30pm.
- Non exempt 10 month position running from August 2026- June 2027
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Demonstrated effective listening skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage difficult or emotional situations with urgency and control
- Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- 1 year minimum working as a Medical Technician- preferably emergency, pediatric, camp, school or in a community setting.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health systems with relevant clinical information.
- Additional training in patient care techniques and infection control.
- Follow proper protocols and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributing to NorthBay's values of making everyone feel welcome on campus
- Manage daily medications and ensure they are given to students, staff, and visiting adults as needed (prescription or non-prescription)
- Document medication dosages and times as administered
- Respond to any call or signals identifying student, staff, or any guest needs
- Provide person-centered care in a calm and professional manner with enthusiasm, energy, a sense of fun, and creating a culture of belonging.
- Adhere to Wellness Center policies, procedures and care standards
- Notify the Nurse immediately of any emergency should occur
Education and/or Experience
- Active Medical Technician License- Maryland issued
- Up to date CPR/BLS and First Aid/AED certifications
- Must maintain all licenses and certifications
Monday- Thursday, 4:00pm- 10:30pm
