Position Summary

AACTE is seeking a strategic, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as our Vice President, Learning Design & Program Development.

In this role, you will lead the vision, design, and development of AACTE's professional learning portfolio, ensuring our programs deliver meaningful value to members while supporting the association's strategic priorities. You'll oversee a wide range of learning experiences—from conference programming and leadership development initiatives to webinars, online courses, communities of practice, and emerging credentialing opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about adult learning, innovation, and building programs that help educators and institutions succeed in a rapidly changing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership for AACTE's professional learning and leadership development portfolio.
  • Design and expand innovative learning experiences delivered through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Lead the development of certificates, microcredentials, and other professional recognition opportunities.
  • Explore new technologies and emerging trends to enhance learner engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with members, faculty experts, consultants, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure learning programs align with member needs and organizational goals.
  • Oversee program planning, budgets, performance metrics, and continuous improvement efforts.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree required; doctorate preferred.
  • Significant leadership experience in professional learning, higher education, educator preparation, associations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing professional learning, leadership development, academic, or continuing education programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing budgets, and building strategic partnerships.
  • A collaborative and forward-thinking leader with strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
