About The Company
NextGen Bioplastics is a sustainability-focused food packaging manufacturer on a mission to replace traditional plastics with biodegradable, compostable, plant-based alternatives that are safe for people and the planet. Made in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA, we source renewable inputs locally to reduce carbon emissions, support regional economies, eliminate overseas supply chain risk, and contribute to a circular economy. A family-run company, NextGen represents the evolution of 35+ years of proven American manufacturing expertise applied to next-generation bioplastic innovation. After decades in paper packaging, we recognized two major market shifts: the devastating environmental impact of traditional materials and rising demand for sustainable alternatives that actually perform. With the global bioplastics market projected to reach $32.3 billion by 2028, we see a major opportunity to empower businesses to meet ESG goals without compromising on quality. Our flagship products are made from hemp and other plant-based biopolymers, delivering FDA-compliant, food-safe packaging that decomposes in months, not centuries. Launching Fall 2025, our compostable to-go containers meet the performance standards foodservice businesses demand and the sustainability standards consumers expect, and the planet truly needs. 🌱 Plant Powered Packaging.
