Berger Transfer & Storage is seeking a DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULER to join our team in Chino, CA. Our Distribution Scheduler is responsible for routing in-home deliveries of products and new furniture. This individual will be working with our routing software to create daily routes for drivers. They work closely with our delivery teams to handle in home delivery issues and place accurate notes in our system regarding any issues that may occur during delivery.
Responsibilities for our DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULER include but are not limited to:
- Work with Berger’s proprietary software in an AS400 system;
- Work very closely with our delivery teams to handle in home deliveries and place accurate notes in our two systems as to any issues that may occur during delivery;
- Track items to be returned to vendor and work with the account to schedule return trucks;
- Making timeframe calls to customers to advise of delivery date and time;
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications to apply for this role are:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred);
- Minimum of 2 years customer service experience required;
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs carrying, pushing and/or pulling;
- Must be able to demonstrate previous successful experience performing the following key skills:
- Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (i.e. PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.);
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Strong evaluation and accuracy skills;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions;
- Ability to calculate currency conversions and weight and volume calculations
