POSITION SUMMARY 

The Warehouse Afternoon Lead position provides excellent customer service to the assigned location’s Installation Team by providing effective inventory management of installation materials and supporting the Logistics Supervisor in operating the warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position is responsible for the following: 


Inventory Control: 

  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy of all units in warehouse 
  • Conduct inventory accounts and audits as required to maintain control of inventory 
  • Receive, store, and issue all materials and equipment necessary for installers to complete jobs as scheduled 
  • Understand the installation schedule and forecast install materials required 
  • Order materials to accommodate the installation schedule built by the project managers and install managers 

Warehouse Operation: 

  • Plan and organize the warehouse to operate efficiently 
  • Provide all support necessary to ensure install crews are on their way to jobsite at appointed time with all necessary tools and equipment. Be problem-solver in the afternoon. 
  • Maintain warehouse equipment 
  • Participate in unloading of RbA shipments, loading of install trucks, and loading/unloading of window carts 
  • Support the Logistics Supervisor in assuring the safety, security, and good working order of the warehouse 
  • Coordinate, assign to appropriate warehouse staff, or personally complete scheduled and unplanned runs to provide materials to job sites, pick up materials or equipment, transport vehicles to maintenance, and other runs as required. 
  • Support Logistics Supervisor in managing and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment, and maintaining associated records. 
  • Assure warehouse cleanliness and order 

Leadership and Management: 

  • Lead the Afternoon warehouse team to accomplish assigned tasks 
  • Coordinate with internal customers, and others to assure that requirements are understood and tasks are completed as expected. 

General: 

  • Use computers and software systems, including MS Office Suite, spreadsheets, and other programs to maintain records, and accomplish other assigned tasks and responsibilities 
  • Coordinate and communicate with Supply Chain team to source materials, supplies, tools, and services through proper channels 
  • Operate box trucks, forklifts, and other company vehicles as assigned 
  • Provide “Signature Service” to internal customers to equip them to delight our homeowners 
  • Employ LEAN principles to build a continuous improvement culture throughout the logistics team 
  • Consistently contribute to the RBA culture 
  • Perform any other related, unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, out of the ordinary or special duties assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, walk and stand on uneven surfaces, drive vehicles, use hands for extended amounts of time, lift and carry up to 75 lbs., bend, stoop, reach, hear audible warning signals, and perform repetitive motions. This job requires working indoors and outdoors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Communication requirements include English verbal speech and written communication.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be able to effectively lead, prioritize, manage time and projects, and multi-task in a fast paced, growing company environment 
  • Detail oriented while having the ability to operate efficiently in a busy environment 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic 
  • Problem solving ability 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds 
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time 
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel, relational databases, and inventory management software 
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record per company standards 
  • To drive an RBA or personal vehicle employees are required to hold a valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance as required by law, be an approved driver by RbA's insurance, and provide copies to the Human Resource department 
  • Must pass a DOT physical and meet all company standards to operate DOT-regulated company vehicles 
  • Willingness to reasonably withstand the elements throughout each season
