Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant (First Assist) for an established surgical team in Geneva, New York.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Serve as First Assist in the operating room alongside the Chief of Surgery, Vascular Surgeons, and Oncology Surgeons.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up visits.
  • Assist with inpatient rounding as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between surgeons, referring providers, and primary care physicians to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide surgical patient education, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while collaborating within a multidisciplinary surgical team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: $115,000-$135,000.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
  • National Certification (NCCPA).
  • Current DEA Registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • First Assist or surgical experience is preferred.
