Job Description
About the Role:
Our Platform Services Engineering team builds and maintains the cloud-based applications, RESTful APIs, and shared services that power Experian Software Solutions' products. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help develop both the backend services and user-facing applications delivered through our rapidly growing cloud platform. You'll collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
What You'll Do Here
- Develop, support, and continuously improve core platform services and infrastructure components, including event-driven services, identity and access management, user navigation services, and shared platform capabilities.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with engineering standards using modern cloud-native technologies and DevOps practices.
- Work with teams on the process of requirements gathering with various stakeholders across teams. (Product Owner, Architect, User experience, Delivery and Support functions, Site Reliability Engineering/Operations team).
- Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager
- This position operates under a hybrid work arrangement (2 days in office, 3 days remote).

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or professional experience.
- Experience with software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and modern application development technologies.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, Angular or similar.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Cloud AWS, databases, APIs, and software development tools through coursework, projects, or work experience.
- Basic knowledge of software testing, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD concepts.
- 1+ years of experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
