Job Description:
Responsibilities
Assist in continual improvement of the company Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9120, ISO 9001, ASA-100, AFRA, CAMAC and customer requirements ensuring all policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals remain current and effective.
Maintenance of the Quality Management Manual and all supporting processes and documentation in accordance with CAMAC ASP standard.
Oversight of the internal audit program implementation Management of personnel competence assessment and authorization processes in accordance with CAMAC ASP standard.
Serving as the primary liaison with CAMAC/CAAC, including audit coordination and reporting when required
Supervision of handling of scrap and required reporting.
Supervision of Shelf Life control program
Ensure document control, revision control, assist as necessary in process mapping, maintaining quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
Represent quality externally as required
Manage Approved Vendor List (AVL), including onboarding, qualification, and re-approval and conduct supplier risk assessments and periodic performance evaluations.
Monitor vendor performance metrics (quality, delivery, TAT, documentation accuracy). Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
Lead investigations of supplier escapes and nonconforming material.
Ensure vendor compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and repair stations
Lead investigations of customer complaints, internal defects, supplier issues, and escapes including root cause analysis (5 Whys.), corrective and preventive actions, verify effectiveness and track nonconformance trends and escalate systemic issues
Track audit findings through root cause, corrective action, and closure
Lead corrective action and compliance gap investigations
Conduct operational and compliance risk assessments to identify process inefficiencies and systemic risks
Monitor KPIs, including customer returns, audit findings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across departments locally, managed through COTO Log & Annual Management Review
Ensure employee training and competency compliance.
Deliver quality and regulatory training programs and maintain qualification records for inspectors, buyers, warehouse staff, and auditors
Assist with business continuity planning and process alignment
Manage non-aviation vendors supporting business operations
Conduct trace packet reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of aircraft or component records
Coordinate communication between consignors and buyers during sales/lot transactions and support documentation flow, issue resolution, and status updates
Manage retention, traceability, and audit readiness of records driving standardization and improvement of documentation practices across departments
Manage internal, external, surveillance, customer, and supplier audits
Maintain audit schedules to ensure audit readiness year-round across all departments for Chengdu China
Collect customer/supplier feedback analyzing Customer Complaints/root cause analysis and customer Accommodations
Oversight of VAS’ the quality management system and operational processes in Chengdu
Driving proactively the identification, development and implementation of process improvements including IT changes, risk management and change management
Support VAS records team to obtain required records from asset seller/consignor as the local focal point
Support records Open Items resolution between asset seller/consignor and VAS records team
Perform asset onsite inspections and resolve discrepancies identified
Support and drive sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate and industry environmental objectives, including Airbus sustainability goals and responsible aviation practices
Contribute to AFRA Diamond certification expectations, ensuring compliance with best practices in aircraft dismantling, parts traceability and oversee or support aircraft teardown and disassembly processes, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance
Track, monitor, and report sustainability KPIs and promote responsible lifecycle management of aircraft components (reuse, repair, recycling), support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency to ensure alignment with environmental regulations, customer expectations, and corporate policies and integrate sustainability into quality, supplier, and operational decision-making
Act as designated SMS delegate supporting the company Safety Management System
Assist in hazard identification, risk reporting, and safety investigations and support investigation of Aviation Safety incidents, near misses, and occurrences and support implementation and monitoring of safety risk controls and mitigation actions and attend and participate in monthly SMS discussions Internally
Record real-time events, decisions, actions, and communications and maintain timelines and track assigned responsibilities and ensure accurate documentation for post-incident review and compliance and archive records upon incident closure
Required
5-7 years experience in Quality Management and systems
Practical problem solving experience
Advanced experience of quality requirements and processes (e.g. part145, AS9120, CAAC)
CAAC Part 66 Maintenance Personnel Licence or min 3 years working experience in MRO
Understanding of the Chinese CAAC regulations, e.g. Quality standards, airworthiness general knowledge/standards.
Promote a strong quality culture and accountability mindset (Quality Policy, QualiWare Training)
Promote a strong safety culture across all departments and locations
Strong speak-up mind set on unsatisfactory situations within the organization, and strong ability to develop resolution proposals
Eagerness to support all kinds of Management System efforts
