At Atlantic Emergency Solutions, our mechanics work on fire trucks and ambulances that first responders rely on every day. You get stable hours, a Monday through Friday schedule, and the option for overtime, if it's available, all in clean shops designed for serious, skilled work. We are committed to providing consistent hours, and a predictable schedule so you can plan your life outside of work. We run clean, compliant, and efficient shops and pride ourselves on employee satisfaction.  


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Overtime is available
  • No rotating shifts
  • Paid holidays (no waiting period)

Work Environment:

  • McConnelsville, OH
  • Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
  • Specialty work on fire trucks and ambulances

Key Job Duties:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems
  • performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances
  • Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage
  • Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service
  • Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards
  • Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team


Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening

  • This role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing. 
  • The position involves exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, odors, grease, and occasional outdoor weather.
