Overview:
The AI Rapid Prototyping Developer rapidly prototypes and builds business solutions using AI-assisted development tools, low-code/no-code platforms, and modern application frameworks. As a dedicated delivery resource, this person works closely with business and technical leaders to convert ideas into working solutions—accelerating delivery, reducing development effort, and shortening the path from concept to value. The level 1 position is an entry level position for AI forward thinking users that are learning on the job how to leverage these technologies.
This is a hands-on, build-first role for someone who is comfortable moving fast, iterating in tight feedback loops, and using AI to amplify their output across the full prototype-to-production lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
- Translate business ideas, requirements, and pain points into functional prototypes and working applications, often within days rather than weeks.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, debug, and explore solution options.
- Build solutions on low-code/no-code platforms and modern application frameworks, selecting the right tool for each problem.
- Partner directly with business stakeholders and technical leaders to clarify goals, validate assumptions, and demo early and often.
- Iterate quickly based on user feedback, refining prototypes toward production-ready quality where needed.
- Integrate solutions with existing systems, APIs, and data sources.
- Document what was built, how it works, and how it can be maintained or scaled by other teams.
- Identify opportunities where AI-assisted or low-code approaches can replace slower, more costly traditional development.
- Maintain a pragmatic balance between speed and quality—knowing when a quick prototype is enough and when engineering rigor is required.
Requirements
- Experience with AI-assisted coding technologies, Claude, Codex, Github CoPilot
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic DevOps concepts.
- Exposure to prompt engineering and getting reliable, structured output from large language models.
- Basic understanding of security, privacy, and data-handling best practices when building business solutions.
