The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Packing Operator to join our weekend Prepack team as a Team Leader in the Packshed.

This is a hands-on, physically active role based in our chillers, where you will ensure our mushrooms are handled and processed to the highest quality standards for dispatch. You will lead a dedicated team, where attention to detail and consistency are highly valued.

Position available

• Permanent, part-time position

• Saturday & Sunday

• 12.30pm start (until duties are finished)

• Based in Hornby

• Training provided

Key Responsibilities

Prepack

• Leading a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our mushrooms

• Allocating tasks and monitoring productivity

• Ensuring products are packed accurately and efficiently

• Monitoring packing line performance

• Maintain clean and organised workstations across all operational areas

• Responsible for securing and closing down the Packshed building at the end of each shift.

Teamwork & Workplace Safety

• Work with your team to meet daily targets and maintain a positive team environment

• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, use PPE correctly and report hazards or incidents

• Understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and health and safety practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for sustained periods, including standing, bending and lifting

• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

• Positive attitude, reliable attendance and a strong team focus

• Previous experience as a Team Leader in a packing environment is an advantage, but full training will be provided
