About the Role

Company Description

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

This role is based in Ha Phan Building office.

Senior Event Executive is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of the events within Lifestyle and machinery exhibitions. Through a strong understanding of Market trends and customer needs. Will aid the development of the long-term Event design, through both collating customer feedback and identifying new and innovative opportunities to improve the Event. Support the financial, operational and customer performance of each product.

Data & Buyer Development:

  • Collect and process data from various sources in line with event KPIs, working closely with the Data Management team to ensure the data is clean and ready for analysis.
  • Use data analysis tools to identify patterns, trends, and key insights from the data.
  • Apply the analysis results to develop strategies and business decisions to improve performance and productivity.
  • Develop key buyer attendance at the event in line with event KPIs
  • Work with Line Manager to liaise with suppliers to make sure all works are done. Raise ticket for payment and follow up payment schedule to suppliers.

Event Development:

  • Support the design of the Event experience, ensuring a high-quality level of delivery in support of the Event’s strategy and customer needs
  • Manage and administer online registration, and participant database
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge through strengthen relationship with internal team and external associations.
  • Develop, improve, and implement the overall customer experience of the Event
  • Build Event loyalty with customers in understanding both specific and wider market needs, feeding trends/ issues back into the Line Manager as input to Event strategy
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure all elements of the Event are in alignment to set up for success
  • Negotiate with venues and suppliers with Operations team for Event specific requirements. Raise ticket for payment and follow up payment schedule to suppliers.
  • On-site event management to ensure successful execution of the event
  • Accommodation and transport arrangement for delegates/participants
  • Provide secretariat support to Manager including setting up the meetings, market research, taking minutes of meetings. 
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned towards successful Event delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/ marketing/ event management or equivalence.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in overseeing and executing B2B event management.
  • English and Vietnamese fluency both written and spoken.
  • Project management skills: The employee needs to be good at managing time and working to deadlines.
  • Good team player with pro-activeness and self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); MOS certification is a plus
  • Having experience with Canvas/ Photoshop is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure and manage tight schedules, especially during peak event season
