About the Role

We're in search of a motivated Storesperson to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our goods handling and inventory management processes. As a Storesperson at Osbit, you'll be working alongside the Store Coordinator responsible for managing incoming and outgoing stock, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding efficient stock control practices. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for teamwork.

Your responsibilities

This position operates within a warehouse environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, moving, and packing.
 
  • Welcome delivery drivers and ensure parcels are placed correctly in the goods inward area for processing.
  • Verify deliveries against notes and purchase orders, accurately record them in our system, and store items in the designated location.
  • Assist with scanning and uploading documents onto our system and collaborate with Osbit engineers when necessary.
  • Fulfil orders for projects by picking and booking out items as requested.
  • Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety in the stores area.
  • Assist with preparing items for shipping, including picking, packing, and weighing.
  • Ensure all correct items are booked out and consignment notes are properly signed before forwarding them to the relevant Osbit contact.
  • Conduct regular stock checks as required.
  • Help serve as a point of contact for Osbit engineers and contractors regarding stock inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to proper procedures for handling stock.

The role may require occasional driving to collect items from suppliers. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate workload fluctuations and project demands.

Your experience

Experience in a similar role is desirable. However, if you feel you have transferable experience that would suit this role, then we'd also love to hear from you.

Further information

  • Successful applicants will be based at our Port of Blyth facility with occasional travel. 
  • A valid driving licence is required.
