About the Role

Description

 The Child Watch Attendant provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children while their parent or guardian is using the YMCA facility. Attendants engage children in age-appropriate activities, promote positive behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of every child in their care while reflecting the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. 


Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old. 
  • Experience working with children is preferred. 
  • Friendly, dependable, patient, and energetic. 
  • Ability to engage children in positive activities. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Required Certifications

  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
