About the Role

Description

Corona Millworks is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, adjustment, and routine maintenance of CNC machinery used to manufacture cabinet doors, drawers and component parts according to customer specifications and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret production paperwork while working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will take pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining productivity, safety, and equipment reliability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery to manufacture cabinet components according to production schedules and customer specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and verify job cut sheets, work orders, shop drawings, and CNC programs prior to production.
  • Verify machine setup, tooling, fixtures, and material requirements before beginning production.
  • Adjust machine speeds, tooling offsets, feeds, and cutting parameters to ensure precision and product quality.
  • Monitor machine operation throughout production and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products using measuring equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality.
  • Identify production errors, incorrect programming, material defects, or specification discrepancies and communicate concerns to Production Management.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, tooling changes, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure proper machine warm-up and shutdown procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Work collaboratively with Production Management and other manufacturing departments to meet production schedules.
  • Cross-train on additional CNC equipment and manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operation experience in a woodworking, cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating CNC routers or CNC machining centers.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, cut sheets, and production specifications.
  • Strong understanding of CNC tooling, machine setup, feeds, speeds, and machine adjustments.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring equipment including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cabinet manufacturing or woodworking experience.
  • Experience operating nested-based CNC routers.
  • Experience with CNC programming or editing CNC programs.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate CNC machinery and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Day Shift
  • 8–10 hour shifts
  • Overtime and occasional Saturdays as required
