Engineering Technician

Description
As the Engineering Technician, you will support daily manufacturing operations while leading a small team of individuals. This role is responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing processes that support product quality, throughput, and consistency. You will work directly with parts, tooling, fixtures, welding, and CNC equipment to identify issues and implement practical process improvements.

What you’ll do
- Build, test, and improve parts, materials, and manufacturing processes to support production efficiency and quality.
- Perform hands-on testing, collect production data, and implement process improvements based on results.
- Operate with a high level of independence while making informed decisions and adapting to changing production priorities and process needs.
- Partner with Engineering teams to improve tooling, automation, and workflows that increase speed, safety, and consistency.
- Jump into real production issues with Design, Support, and Production teams and solve them in real time.
- Evaluate process changes and implement improvements while maintaining production quality and safety requirements.
- Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and validate long-term process improvements.
- Document process changes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to support standardization and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1- 2 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or related experience
- Ability to use and understand computer software and systems
- Mechanical aptitude with experience working on manufacturing equipment, tooling, or fabricated products
- Ability to use measuring devices and basic hand tools
- Experience using CAD/CAM software in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in assembly, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing design processes
- Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion, including both design and manufacturing workspaces
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout office and manufacturing environments for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs while conducting shop floor reviews
- Ability to visually inspect equipment, materials, and processes to assess quality and safety
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in environments with noise, moving equipment, temperature variation, and industrial hazards while following safety protocols
Work Environment
- This role works across office and manufacturing environments and requires regular presence on the shop floor
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in manufacturing areas
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
